Cecily Jane Harris is a daughter, a sister, and a writer. She was born approximately twenty-two years ago and recently graduated with a degree in English from Brigham Young University.

As a child, Cecily showed a natural love for reading, writing, and music. She was lucky enough to have been born into a very large family that shared these interests.  The second of six children, Cecily was often called on by her parents to sing at church functions with her siblings, and learned very young to be comfortable on the stage. At the same time, Cecily loved to read and would often get caught very late at night with a book and flashlight underneath her covers. By the time Cecily was twelve, she had read every book in her parents' library.

It was Cecily's mother who first suggested that Cecily was gifted as a writer, knowing her daughter's veracious appetite for literature and her enthusiasm at making up stories. Since she was very young, Cecily used to run out of the room during television commercial breaks and try to figure out how the episode would end. Sometimes she could guess what was going to happen, but sometimes when she was wrong, she would like her version better. Cecily also got into the habit of writing stories whenever she was bored, much the the chagrin of her less interesting high school teachers. Surprisingly, though, it wasn't until Cecily was in college that she started to realize that this was all that she wanted to do.
